RI Art Company Makes Donation To Three Local Schools

N.A. Ferri Middle School, Brown Avenue School, and Thornton Elementary School have received art supplies through Art Is Smart.

The Johnston schools are recipients of art supplies, thanks to donations from Art Is Smart, a Rhode Island-based foundation funded by art company Festival Fete.

“Art is Smart is an organization born out of a pure passion for the arts,” Festival Fete founder Jennifer Neuguth explained in a press release.

The foundation sells T-shirts, bags, and mugs designed by local artists on its website, www.artissmart.com.

Proceeds from sales at the Festival Fete events also go toward the public school arts programs, with the next festival scheduled for Nov. 25 and 26 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Providence Convention Center.
