Pharmacies in Johnston have reported flu shot outages
As of Monday, Jan. 14, Walgreens, Rite Aid and CVS stores in Johnston have reported they are out of flu shots. Although store pharmacists say they hope to receive more tomorrow, due to the high demand across the state, they are uncertain when they will have shots available. Despite the reported outages, you can still get a flu short through the Rhode Island Department of Health. There is no cost for a vaccination and health insurance is not required. Many clinics also offer Tdap (pertussis, or "whooping cough") and pneumococcal (pneumonia) vaccinations.
