Quidnesset Country Club was the site for the first annual "Women Warriors" luncheon, which raised funds for the Holly Charette House, a transitional housing facility in Johnston for female veterans operated by Operation Stand Down Rhode Island. The accompanying video shows scenes from the event, including speeches by U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, distinguished female veterans, and Charette's parents.

630 WPRO and Operation Stand Down Rhode Island are scheduled to host the first annual Women Warriors luncheon and fundraiser on Nov. 11 to benefit the Holly Charette House, a transitional housing facility for female veterans located in Johnston. The event is scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. at Quidnesset Country Club in North Kingstown. Tickets are $50 each; corporate tables of 8 are available for $1,000.
