RI State Police Arrest Log: Johnston Man Arrested Following Car Crash

State troopers arrested a Johnston man on an active court warrant on Oct. 6 after a car accident on Rte. 6.

  Rhode Island State Police reported the Oct. 6 arrest of a Johnston man on an active court warrant following a car accident on Rte. 6. David Barboza, 44, of 22 Waterman Ave., had been sought by North Providence Police on a felony charges of passing fraudulent checks over $1,000. State Police reported that their officers responded to an accident at about 8:30 am on Saturday morning and found Barboza at the scene. Troopers brought Barboza to Rhode Island State Police Headquarters in Scituate for processing, then turned him over to North Providence Police, according to the State Police press release website. JPD Arrest Log: DUI, Two Warrant Arrests

The following information was provided by the Johnston Police Department. Where an arrest is noted, it does not indicate a conviction.

  Johnston Police reported the following arrests this week: Warrant Arrests: Ptlm. Remy Mendez arrested Gabriel Soto, 40, of 44 Suffolk St., Providence, on Sept. 21 at about 3:30 pm on a warrant issued by Third District Court, Warwick, following a traffic stop on Hartford Avenue for excessive smoke fumes emanating from his truck. The court warrant was issued for failure to appear at a payment hearing on a 2011 charge of driving with a suspended license brought by Warwick Police. Online court records indicate Soto appeared in court on Sept. 24 and paid the fine. Ptlm. Derek Parascondolo and Sgt. Michael Babbitt arrested Jason Delellis, 41, of 1 Larkwood Ct., on an active Superior Court warrant for failing to appear at arraignment on …

State Police Arrest Johnston Man on Warrant

Troopers arrested Raymond Berarducci, 20, of Johnston, on a warrant issued by Sixth District Court.

  A Johnston man awaits arraignment on a driving with a suspended license charge after Rhode Island State Police officers arrested him on an outstanding warrant on Monday. Troopers stopped the car driven by Raymond Berarducci, 20, of 17 Vacca St., on Rt. 44 in North Providence at about 1:45 pm, according to the State Police website. A check of Berarducci's record found an active warrant for failure to appear at a previously scheduled court hearing on the suspended license charge brought by State Police. Officers brought Berarducci to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing, then transported him to the Adult Correctional Institutions, Cranston, until a scheduled arraignment on Friday.

Johnston Man Arrested by RISP on Warrant

Troopers arrested Joseph Celentano, 60, for failure to appear at a payment review in Superior Court.

Rhode Island State Police reported the July 15 arrest of a Johnston resident on an active Superior Court arrest warrant. Joseph Celentano, 60, of 20 Park St., did not appear at a recent payment review hearing on a drug maufacturing and delivery charge brought by Providence Police, the state police website reported. Troopers brought Celetano to the Scituate Barracks for processing, then transported him to the Adult Correctional Insitutions, Cranston, to await his next court hearing. According to online court records, Celentano owes more than $1,200 in outstanding fines and court costs from two felony drug charges.
