RI Woman's 'Bachelor' Stint Ends after One Episode

Cranston's Lauren Marchetti didn't get a rose in the premiere of "The Bachelor" on Monday night on ABC, sending her home.

Cranston West grad and former Patriots Cheerleader Lauren Marchetti, 27, didn't get a rose Monday night when she appeared as one of 26 contestants on ABC's "The Bachelor." Marchetti told 'bachelor' Sean Lowe that her dad had a message for him. "If you break my heart, he's going to break your legs," she said. ABC6 reported that Marchetti said she was joking, but it might have made Lowe a little uneasy since he didn't hand her a rose at the end of the show. Contestants with roses advance to the next round. Marchetti was one of seven women eliminated in the first round. Marchetti's family is well known for running Marchetti's on Park Avenue. Related: Rhode Island Woman Appears on 'The Bachelor'

Lauren Marchetti is a Cranston native, graduate of Cranston High School West and a former Patriots cheerleader. More recently, she was a host for GoLocalProv's GoLocalTV broadcast in 2011 and 2012. Monday, she appeared on ABC's reality television series "The Bachelor" as one of 30 women hoping to lure the affections of Sean Lowe. According to her bio on The Bachelor Web site, Marchetti admires her parents because they taught her "strong values and prepared me for every type of situation I may face." Her all time favorite book is "The Best Advice I ever got" compiled by Katie Couric. She hates it where her date "doesn't offer to pick me up from my house, texts me and doesn't come to the door to let me know he's there."
