A quick look around Johnston after the Jan. 26-27 snowfall found clear roads and potential visibility problems, as it seemed the whole season's accumulation is still clinging to sidewalks and untreated areas. The early-morning halt to the snow helped local crews treat and clear the streets by 11 a.m. Schools in Johnston were closed Jan. 27, and a parking ban issued by the Johnston Police Department remained in place through Thursday at 3 p.m. to assist with the ongoing clean-up effort.
