Joan Grist, previously of Smithfield and Greenville, passed away this past week.
The following obituary was provided by Anderson Winfield Funeral Home. Joan L. Grist passed away on Friday, Dec. 27 at the age of 74 in Lehigh Acres, FL, where she had lived for the past 15 years. Prior to that, Grist lived in Greenville an Johnson. She leaves behind her husband, David I. Grist. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ettie (Richards) Fortin. She worked at Amica Insurance in Providence and also as a jewelry assembler. She was an administrative assistant at her husband's business for many years and was a former member of the Greenville Junior Women's Club.
