Johnston Man Charged After Swearing at Officer

Scott Bolton, 30, had been ordered to leave a home on Greenville Avenue after the homeowner called police.

  After being advised to leave a Greenville Avenue home, a Johnston man swore at a police officer, drawing a disorderly conduct charge, Johnston Police reported this week. Ptlm. Adam Parkinson reported that he found Scott Bolton, 30, at the home just past midnight on Sept. 24 after the homeowner called police and said that Bolton had been "banging on the windows and doors." When he and three other officers arrived at the scene, Parkinson wrote, Bolton tried to hide behind a boat in the driveway. Bolton appeared to be trying "to conceal his hands in his pockets and acting [in a] very fidgety manner," leading officers to frisk him for possible weapons, Parkinson noted. The owner of the home told officers that he wanted to file a no-trespass …
