Find Good Friday Fish & Chips in Johnston

Today's the last Friday of the Catholic meat prohibition. Get your seafood in Johnston.

Next weekend, Catholics in town will be free to eat whatever they want on any day. But for one more Friday, meat is off the table. But don't let that stop you from going out to dinner tonight. Art Smart at Mohr; public skate in Smithfield; Explorer's Studio at Providence Children's Museum; it's the first Friday of Lent; and today in history: going back to the three-digit years for this one.

Art Smart: Marian J. Mohr Library hosts "Art Smart with Ms. Melyssa" today at 4 p.m. Mobile art in the style of Alexander Calder is the theme. (Click on his name for more information.) For students in grades 3 through 6. Get Your Skate Freak On: Well, maybe not "freak," but you can practice your glide at Smithfield Ice Rink's public skate session today from 11 a..m. to 1 p.m. Admission is $3; skate rentals $5.
