Man Arrested Twice In Nine Days For Violating No-Contact Order

Johnston Police arrested Joseph A. Rossi, 22, of Providence, for the second time in nine days — and fourth time since July — on Jan. 28 for violating a no-contact order. Rossi was charged with felony violation of a protective order at his arraignment in Third District Court on Jan. 30 and ordered held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions until a scheduled probation violation hearing on Feb. 7. In the most recent incident, Rossi’s ex-girlfriend went to Johnston Police Headquarters on Jan. 27 to report that Rossi had been contacting her through a Facebook message, sending her pictures through text messaging, and calling her.
