Johnston Man Pleads Not Guilty in Fatal Maine Crash

Christopher Bennett, 20, faces charges of drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter following a Sept. 2 accident that killed the passenger in his vehicle.

  The 20-year-old Johnston man charged with felony drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter following a Sept. 2 crash pleaded not guilty in court on Nov. 30. According to the Portland Press Herald website, Christopher Bennett appeared in York County [Maine] Superior Court to enter his plea at a formal arraignment before Judge John O'Neil. Bennett stands accused of driving drunk in the crash that led to the death of Anthony Ciccone of Pepperhill, MA. Security officers at the University of New England and Biddeford Police reported that Bennett and Ciccone had gone to the campus looking for a friend. Maine Police Charge Johnston Man with Vehicular Manslaughter

Christopher Bennett, of, Johnston, faces manslaughter and felony drunk driving charges after an accident that killed passenger Anthony Ciccone, 20, of Pepperell, MA.

  A Rhode Island man is charged with vehicular manslaughter and felony drunken driving following a Sunday morning crash that claimed the life of his passenger in Biddeford, ME. According to the Associated Press, 20-year-old Anthony Ciccone of Pepperell, Mass., was killed when a Ford Explorer driven by Christopher M. Bennett, 20, of Johnston, crashed into a utility pole.  Police said the two men were visiting friends at the University of New England in Biddeford prior to the crash. NBC10.com reported on Monday night that Bennett was ordered held on $300,000 bail following a hearing in York County, ME.
