State Police Log: Failure to Appear

  Scituate Barracks At 11:55 a.m. on Apr. 8, Troopers arrested Cindy Small, 40, of 28 Hopkins Ave., Johnston, RI for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay for the charge of Domestic-Simple Assault. The arrest originated out of the North Providence Police Department. Small was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and later turned over to Sixth District Court. The above reports detail arrests made by the Rhode Island State Police. Descriptions of all events are based solely on police officer reports provided to Patch.

Johnston Man Charged with Credit Card Fraud

Henry Fellela allegedly made fraudulent charges with a stolen credit card totaling more than $700.

One Johnston man's alleged attempt to fill up for free has landed him behind bars. Henry A. Fellela, 55, of Johnston, has been charged with obtaining credit card through fraudulent means, fraudulent use of credit cards, receipt of money, goods and  services obtained by fraudulent use of credit cards and identity fraud, State Police Colonel Steven G. O'Donnell announced.  Fellela was arrested after the alleged victim reported that a Shell Gas credit card had been stolen from his mailbox and used at various Shell gas stations throughout Rhode Island, Connecticut and New Jersey. Fellela was identified with the assistance of surveillance video that captured him during the commission of these crimes using a vehicle with expired registration …

State Police Log: Domestic Assault

Lincoln Woods Barracks On Dec., 16 at 11:45 a.m., Troopers charged Matthew Olivieri, 40, of 15 Berclay St., Johnston, with domestic simple assault after the alleged victim filed a complaint at State Police headquarters on Dec. 15.  Scituate Barracks  At 8:19 p.m. on Dec. 23, Troopers arrested Sean Needham, 22, of 6 Pine Lane, Johnston, on a 3rd Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court on a Johnston charge of domestic assault. Troopers arrested Needham after pulling him over on Putnam Pike in Smithfield. Needham was transported to State Police headquarters before being released into the custody of family members. Repeat domestic assault offenses Christina Gonzales, of 1225 Plainfield St., was ordered held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions on July 25 after a series of arrests on domestic assault charges, beginning on July 21. Johnston Police arrested Gonzalez on July 22 after a male called the department and asked to have her removed from 1225 Plainfield St. Sgt. Seth Crosby and Officers Mark Bairos and David Loffler responded to the call, and learned from the male that Gonzalez had been arrested the day before and issued a no-contact order. According to the victim, Gonzalez returned to the home on July 22 to retrieve some personal belongings, which her mother had left on the curb outside. Gonzalez allegedly entered the house and …
