John A. "Jack" Draine, JPD. Ret., 68, of Johnston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Miriam Hospital, Providence.
John A. "Jack" Draine, JPD. Ret., 68, of Johnston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of forty-four years to Joyce A. (Marrocco) Draine. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John T. and Marion “Hazel” (LaBanca) Draine. Jack was with the Johnston Police Department for thirteen years before his retirement. He was a graduate of Bryant College and the RI Radio and Electronics School. Jack was a former member of the RI National Guard. He was a member of the Highland Rod and Gun Club and the Pine Hill Radio Repeater Group. Jack was an amateur radio operator “WA1QHL”.
