  Here's what you need to know if you're going out to vote in today's primary in Johnston: Poll Times: Local polls open at 7 am and close at 8 pm. 'Tri-mary' for Council Ward 1 Among Races on Tuesday's Ballot

A town council seat will be decided in tomorrow's primary vote, as will the state Senate seat in Dist. 25.

  Two contested races in Johnston will be settled by tomorrow's primary vote, including the Ward 1 Town Council seat currently held by Eileen Fuoco (D) and the state Senate Dist. 25 post held by Democratic incumbent Sen. Frank Lombardo. Following the candidates' gathering of signatures in July, Fuoco's name will appear at the top of the ballot in the Ward 1 race, with Edward Cardillo Jr. and Paul Crowell III listed second and third, respectively. After Democrat William J. Murphy failed to collect the required number of signatures, and no other candidates filed papers to run, Lombardo will face Nicole Acciardo, 19, to decide the race.
