RI State Police Arrest Log: Three Warrant Arrests, DUI Charge

The following information was posted on the Rhode Island State Police website. Where an arrest is noted, it does not indicate an conviction.

  Four Johnston residents were arrested by Rhode Island State Police in separate incidents on Thursday and Sunday. Troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks arrested Jennifer Zambarano 33, of 8 Baker St. on a warrant issued by Third District Court, Warwick, for failure to appear for an ability to pay hearing on one count of driving under the influence brought by State Police. According to police reports, officers stopped Zambarano's vehicle on Veterans Memorial Parkway in East Providence at about 10 am Sunday. In a hearing held at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, Zambarano posted bail and was released pending an as-yet unscheduled court hearing. RI State Police Arrest Log: Johnston Man Charged with DUI in Richmond

State troopers stopped the car driven by Stanley Wilson, 43, of 936 Atwood Ave., early Thursday morning.

  Rhode Island State Police reported the arrest of a Johnston man after troopers stopped his car on Interstate 95 in Richmond at about 1:30 am Thursday. According to the state police press release website, troopers charged Stanley Wilson, 43, of 936 Atwood Ave., with one count of driving under the influence. Officers brought Wilson to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks for arraignment before a Justice of the Peace, and released him with a summons to appear in court at a hearing to be scheduled.

State Troopers Arrest Two from Johnston on DUI-Related Charges

Rhode Island State Police reported the arrests of two Johnston residents in unrelated cases.

  Troopers from the Rhode Island State Police recently made two arrests of Johnston residents, one for driving under the influence and the other for failing to appear at a court hearing on an unrelated DUI charge. On Monday night, state police officers arrested Constance Lima, 44, of 20 Pezzullo St., on an active arrest warrant issued on July 12 by Sixth District Court, Providence. According to online court records, Lima failed to appear for a cost review hearing held July 11. She pleaded no contest on May 18 to one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence brought by State Police; as part of the plea agreement, Associate Judge Anthony Capraro suspended Lima's license for three month and ordered her to pay fines and court costs …

Hit-And-Run Suspect Also Gets DUI Charges

Johnston Police reported that Daniel Booth, of Country View Drive, recorded a .214 blood-alcohol level in a Breathlyzer test following an accident early Sunday morning.

  A Johnston man faces felony charges of leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, and DUI leading to serious injury, following his arrest by Johnston Police on July 15. Daniel Booth, 36, of 23 Country View Drive, told officers that he didn't remember being involved in the hit-and-run accident that injured Raymond Lawson, 41, of Cranston, according to police reports. Ptlm. Adam Catamero wrote that he responded to the Hess gas station at 1789 Plainfield Pike at 12:08 am Sunday morning, where he found Lawson's motorcycle in the street and Lawson being treated by Johnston Fire and Rescue personnel for a head injury and "possible internal injuries." Police Log: Sept. 1 to Sept. 4

Second DUI arrest: Police arrested Joshua A. Malek, 26, of 146 Waterman Ave., North Providence, on a charge of DUI of liquor or drugs, second offense, with a BAC of .15 or greater. Around 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 4, Johnston Police Lt. Robert Abbruzzese, Sgt. Brian LeClair, Sgt. Michael Babbiitt, Patrolmen Philip Viens and Mario Mennella responded to a report of a car accident with injuries. The accident occurred at the intersection of George Waterman Road and Bowen Street. Malek allegedly stated to Viens that he veered right and struck the parked car. The collision pushed the parked vehicle about 100 feet into a stone wall, according to Viens’ report. The passenger in the parked car was transported by rescue to Fatima Hospital with head pain. …

Stolen Medication: Johnston Police arrested Susana Tolentino, 29, of 32 Sackett St., Providence, on a charge of larceny under $500 for allegedly taking prescribed medication from residents at Pocasset Bay Manor. The director of the manor called the Johnston Police Department on July 29 after a resident suspected Tolentino, a housekeeper at the manor, of stealing Vicodin from her room. Over the last month the resident noticed a number of her Vicodin pills was missing. On July 29 she counted 10 pills and placed them in the medication bottle in her room. She discovered three pills missing after Tolentino cleaned her room, according to Patrolman Derek Parascandolo’s report. The director told Parascandolo that Tolentino has been accused in two …
