Congratulations and salutations are in order for 46 Johnston residents, as the University of Rhode Island has released its dean’s list recipients for the Fall 2012 semester. To qualify, full-time students must maintain a 3.3 quality point average for 12 credits. Part-time students can also earn the distinction for a 3.3 average over multiple semesters once they surpass that 12 credit threshold. Western New England U., Wheaton, and Sacred Heart noted Johnston residents among their honorees for Dean's List.
Three Johnston residents recently earned Dean's List honors at their respective schools: Kyle J. Bert, a freshman majoring in Pre-Pharmacy, achieved Dean's List at Western New England University after achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher. Wheaton College named sophomore Shelby Delos to its Dean's List for the fall 2011 semester. Delos is pursuing a major in Physics, and earned a grade point average of 3.5 or above. Amy Buonaccorsi earned Dean's List honors at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. with a 3.6 grade average.

Students from Johnston were recently honored for fall semester GPAs above 3.33.
Five students from Johnston were added to their respective schools' Dean's Lists for the fall, 2011 semester: The University of Delaware of Newark, DE, announced that Nicole Gazin, a senior Arts and Sciences major, and Juliana Johnson, a freshman Health Sciences major, earned a GPA of 3.33 or above for the semester. Sara D'Arpino, a member of the class of 2015 at Connecticut College, was named to that school's Dean's Honors list for the 2011 fall semester with a GPA of 3.66 or higher. And the University of Vermont awarded Dean's List honors to Anastasia Procaccini, a first-year student majoring in Environmental Studies in the Rubenstein School of Environment & Natural Resources; and Gianna L. Students from Johnston achieved honors at schools in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Johnston residents who are attending college out of state recently earned Dean's List honors at their respective schools: Gianna Cianci, Michelle DeSousa, and Sacha Kaufer were named to the Dean's List at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. Assumption Collge of Worcester, MA, named Ryan Masi and Laura Viola to its Dean's List. And Keene State College of Keene, NH, included Christina Parisi among its 1,501 Dean's List honors receipients. All three of the colleges require grade point averages of 3.5 or higher to earn Dean's List honors.

Thirty-eight Johnston students are among 1,170 students who were awarded Dean's List honors at the Community College of Rhode Island for the Fall 2011 semester.
