FM Global Completes Road Project
The company funded $3 million in improvements to Atwood Avenue, from the entrance of Stone Hill Marketplace to Central Avenue.
FM Global of Johnston recently announced the completion of a $3-million project to widen Atwood Avenue and install sidewalks and other pedestrian-friendly features. According to a statement released by the company, the project began in August, 2010, and included movement of several utility poles to accomodate the new travel lane on the northbound side of Atwood Avenue in front of the former Allendale Insurance campus. The company reported that minor traffic signal and landscaping work are scheduled for later this month.
