The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council and several other organizations are teaming up for "Clean Day on the Greenway" at the end of the month.
Did you know there’s a bike path in Johnston? Join forces with the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council, Save The Bay, the Johnston Historical Society, Johnston Police Department Explorers and other Johnston residents to help us get the path ready for spring. Clean Day on the Greenway brings out residents from all over Rhode Island to clean along the Fred Lippitt Woonasquatucket River Greenway in Johnston and Providence. In 1993, the Woonasquatucket River was recognized as an untapped asset and the Woonasquatucket River Greenway Project was initiated.
