Man Charged with Passing False Prescription

Police said Timothy D. Cullen, 33, of East Providence, was also in possession with a small amount of heroin.

Johnston Police charged a 33-year-old East Providence man with felony false representation to obtain a controlled substance and possession of heroin after he allegedly tried to pass a fake script to a pharmacist at the Hartford Avenue CVS. According to a police report, Timothy D. Cullen, of 29 Glenrose Drive, East Providence, walked into the CVS and told the pharmacist he was trying to fill a prescription for 120 Oxycodone tablets for a friend. Police said the pharmacist called the doctor's office on the script and the office said they had no record of ever prescribing it. Police were called and they arrived at the CVS and took Cullen in custody without incident. A search of Cullen's coat turned up a small bag with a white powder that …
