Assault Suspect ‘Kisses & Tells’ One Cranston man apparently doesn’t adhere to the “don’t kiss and tell” mantra when he literally tried to kiss an officer. According to reports, the 50-year-old man assaulted his pregnant girlfriend. When police arrived, he told them his name was Eshu and, according to one officer, “began talking about things that didn’t make sense.” After he allegedly admitted to hitting the woman, officers brought him to the police station, where he refused to get out of the car and instead began blowing kisses at officers. Sgt. Brian LeClair was on patrol early in the morning on Nov. 26 when he saw two men allegedly trying to break into the Burlington Coat Factory store on Atwood Avenue.
Johnston Police announced the arrests of two men for allegedly trying to break into the Burlington Coat Factory store on Atwood Avenue in the early morning hours of Nov. 26. Sgt. Brian LeClair was on patrol and found the two men attempting to get into two vacant buildings near the store, Deputy Chief David DeCesare said in a statement. Would-be coach Forges FBI E-mail A would-be high school volleyball coach with a colorful criminal history didn't get too far in his hopes for a job in Johnston, after school administrators discovered he had lied on his application and forged FBI documents. The Cranston man’s application immediately raised red flags, particularly the criminal background check. Instead of coming on official Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office letterhead, it arrived on a blank piece of paper purportedly from the FBI. He also submitted a fake e-mail pretending to be the FBI. The man attended a few practices and was about to coach the team in its next game, when the authorities caught up to him.
