After steady increases the last several weeks, gas prices took a dip this week. Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are down three cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England. AAA’s tsurvey of prices in Rhode Island today found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.799 per gallon, three cents less than last week. Prices in the state are 13 cents higher than a month ago and five cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.74. Still, prices are slightly better than this time last year when Rhode Island’s average price was $3.80.
