The forecast for Johnston  calls for 70 degree weather and sun throughout the weekend — so get out and enjoy some of these great events. Click the links below for more information.

Now that it's October, there's no better time to check out the spooky walks and Halloween displays near Johnston — including Spooky World's Terror in Rhode Island at Mulligan's Island in Cranston.

For a campy take on scary stuff, check out Menace of the Morgue, a new show at Theatre 82 on Rolfe Square in Cranston. 

Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door. Shows are scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m.

Up in Woonsocket, Chan's Fine Oriental Dining welcomes comedian Bucky Lewis on Friday night and The Dan Lawson Band for a CD release party on Saturday night. 

Online tickets are $12 for each show, with start time of 8 p.m. 

Take a walk back in time at Stadium Theatre in Woonsocket with two tribute acts this weekend — Tusk, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac, on Friday, and the Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons Experience on Saturday.

Online tickets for Tusk are $26 and $32. Tickets for the Frankie Valli tribute are $26 for all sections.

On Saturday in Warwick, get your geek on with Star Wars Reading Day at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore at 1350 Bald Hill Road [Rte. 2]. Ryder Windham, the author of over 60 Star Wars titles, is scheduled for a book signing at 1 p.m.
