For this month's installment of 'Greatest Person,' we highlight Chris Giardina, who volunteers at the Johnston Senior Center and serves as an advisor to the Johnston Police Explorers Post #405.

Welcome to a new feature on JohnstonPatch called "Greatest Person," our way to give a little pat on the back to volunteers in town who make a positive difference for people in our community.

This week, we feature Chris Giardina, who volunteers as an all-around handyman at the — and assists with the Johnston Police Explorers Post #405 program for young adults who may be interested in a career in law enforcement.

Check out the accompanying video for scenes from our interviews with Chris and Senior Center Director Tony Zompa on Chris's contributions to the local agency.
