Pink-Surance Benefit Set For May 29
ACI Customs of Oakdale Avenue is sponsoring the bike run and car show to raise funds for the breast cancer awareness charity.
of Oakdale Avenue is scheduled to host its fifth annual Bike and Car Show and second annual Bike Run on May 29 to benefit , a nonprofit organization founded by Johnston resident Marissa Levesque to cover the costs of genetic testing for women who are at risk of breast cancer.
While there are sure to be many superb motorcycles and cars on display, the centerpiece of the event will be the official unveiling of the Pink-Surance themed chopper.

Registration for the bike run starts at 9 a.m. at ACI Customs; motorcycles will roll out to Johnston Memorial Park at 10 a.m.
Car Show registration begins at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park.

Registration fee is $25 per vehicle and $10 per passenger.
For an additional $5 donation, bike and car owners can also enter their machines in the Motorhead Magazine cover contest. Marissa Levesque will choose the best car and bike to be featured in a photo shoot to be done right at the event.

- 12 p.m.: Announcements
- 12:10: Run 4 Covers Performs
- 1:05: Karate Demonstration by Mastery Martial Arts
- 1:15: Mayor's Choice Trophy Presented
- 1:45: Run 4 Covers Performs on Main Stage
- 2:30: Raffle Prizes/Silent Auction/Trophies Presented
- 3:35: Raffles Continue/New Day Rising Performs
Other details:
- VIP Food will be provided by Texas Road House.
- Run for Covers and New Day Rising are scheduled to perform, and Pleasure Sounds DJs will spin the hits.
- Mastery Martial Arts will hold a demonstration
- CES Boxing stars Peter Manfredo Jr., Mike Campbell, Thomas Folowo, Elvin Ayala, and Vladine Biosse are scheduled to appear for autographs
- Athena's Cup will be collecting $5 donations and bras (see attached flyer)
- Kathryn Manning, photographer, and Patrick Gesmundo, videographer, will be recording the event
- JumpN' Fun will bring rides and attractions for children and adults
- Tons of raffle prizes and silent auction items, including a Sammy Morris signed football, VIP Tickets to June 10 MMA fights with VIP After Party Tickets and Dinner Voucher (an $800 value), Wine basket, Restaurant Gift Certificates, Spa Certificates, and more!
- The Nine Salon will be doing pink hair extentions with proceeds being donated to PInk-Surance, and The Shop, a local barber shop, will be doing hair cuts at the event with proceeds going to the cause.
- Myriad Genetics Laboratory will provide information on genetic testing.
