A Bike Ride with 'A-Peel'

Join the Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) on their last bike
ride of a nine-ride series – a 14-mile trek to bike to pick apples at in Johnston.

Saturday's route on the paved bike path and then travels into Johnston, following Greenville Avenue to Brown Avenue. Once at Dame Farm, rides can roam around the trees, remember why they love new England in the fall — and pick a bushel for pies or tarts!

This final ride of the series is run by WRWC staff and is mostly on-road with some hills. Riders will start at Riverside Park, 50 Aleppo St., Providence (parking available).

WRWC staff will also provide ride support to help get apples back to the start point and assist with any bike issues.

The WRWC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to reclaim the Woonasquatucket as a natural, historic, recreational and economic resource for the state of Rhode Island. The Woonasquatucket is an American Heritage River, a designation given to only 14 rivers nationwide. Others that have received this designation include the Blackstone, the Rio Grande, and Mississippi Rivers.
