Special Olympics Takes Over URI This Weekend
The games started Friday and continue through Sunday.
Special Olympics takes place year-round, but the biggest event of the year is the Summer Games at URI. It started Friday and will continue through the weekend. It is HUGE. Not only are there hundreds of athletes, there are possibly even more volunteers. If you are feeling depressed, a visit to URI this weekend could be just what the doctor ordered. Joy abounds – as in this short video of two women finishing a 25-meter walk race.
