Button Hole Golf Course:

Established in 2000 with the express mission of providing affordable golf instruction for all ages, Button Hole Golf Course is located on the Johnston/Providence town border.

While its address is officially in Providence, almost 90 percent of the facility is on the Johnston side, Golf Program Director Dan Gaughan said.

The course also has prestigious help in its mission — Rhode Island pro golfers Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade are active supporters and Honorary Co-Chairs of Button Hole.

Button Hole offers low rates for play on its 9-hole par-3 course and skill improvement on its six practice areas, plus a schedule of three-day golf camps starting at $250.

Six-lesson packages start at $100, and graduates of instructional programs can become members of the Button Hole Club, which allows them to play the course for just $1.

Visit the new Mohr Library, and you'll see why — whether it's taking an Art Smart class with Ms. Melyssa, checking out the Middle Ages at the , or , there are sure to be events for your kids to enjoy.

The new building opened just a few months ago, and boasts much more room for programs and activities — and if they get a big crowd, like the one for the , Ferri Middle School makes a great location.
