Johnston Recreation Events: May 28 Through 30

Saturday, May 28:

Johnston Little League Farm Minor games start at 9:30 a.m. with the Royals  playing against the Yankees at Susi Field.

Farm Majors: 11:30 a.m. The Pirates will face off against the White Sox; at 1:30 p.m., the Red Sox play the Giants; and at 3 :30 p.m., the Yankees take on the Cubs. All games at Susi Field.

Major League : At Kennedy Field, the Marlins play the Cardinals at 9 a.m.; the Orioles meet the Red Sox at 11 a.m., and the Phillies will have a contest against the Reds at 1 p.m. All games at Kennedy Field.

Co-Ed T-Ball & Fitness Program from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Woodlake Park.

Sunday, May 29:

A Memorial Day Service is scheduled for 9 a.m., hosted by Mayor Joseph Polisena, the Town of Johnston, Johnston Parks and Recreation Department, Johnston Community Center Association, Johnston Senior High School, Johnston Police Department, Kelly Gazzero Post and the Rhode Island National Guard.

hosts its fifth annual Bike and Car show, and second annual Bike Run to raise funds for , a charity founded by Johnston resident Marissa Levesque.

Registration is $25 per vehicle and $10 per passenger

Includes: Participation in bike run/car show, t- Shirt and food provided by Texas Road House. Music, dyno runs, rides, demonstrations, vendors and lots of fun.

9 a.m.: Motorcycle registration at ACI Customs

10 a.m.: Bike Run leaves at ACI Customs for Memorial Park

10 a.m. Car Show registration at Memorial Park opens

Monday, May 30:

An annual auto extravaganza will be hosted by the Rhode Island Street Rodding  Association to benefit the Johnston Little League,  9 a.m to dusk.

Johnston Little League Farm Minors: The Red Sox are set to play the Royals at Susi Field at 5:30 p.m.

Farm Majors: The Cubs will test their baseball skills against the Giants at Susi Field, 7:30 p.m.

The Rec Department is also accepting registrations for the following programs :

• Summer Day Camp sign-ups accepted through June 24; camp starts July 5 and ends August 11
• Johnston Youth Soccer registrations must be completed online. Visit the GotSport site to register.
• Summer Youth Basketball to be held at Memorial Park.
