The Providence Boat Show is in town this weekend at the RI Convention Center.  The show begins on Jan. 12 at 4 p.m. and runs until Jan. 15. Admission is $10 and children younger than 16 will be admitted for free. Check out the live trout pond and some educational workshops. Visit Tickets to purchase discount tickets in advance. Comedy:

The doors open at 6:30 p.m. on Jan 12 at the Comedy Connection in East Providence for Poppy Champlin and special guest comedian Ellen Mochetto.  The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Comedian Lisa Landry, who has appeared on CBS’s The Late Show with Craig Ferguson and The Bonnie Hunt Show, takes the stage on Jan. 13 and 14. Comedian Jeff Dunham brings his Controlled Chaos Tour to The Dunk on Jan. 14. Dunham introduces his two new sidekicks at this show: Achmed Junior, the “not-as-equally skeletal son” of Achmed the Dead Terrorist, and Little Jeff, a mini-version of Dunham. Theatre:

The Wilbury Group’s production of Eugene Ionesco’s comedy-drama, Exit the King, is on stage this weekend at 95 Empire Street, the home of the Perishable Theatre. The show begins on Jan. 12 at 7:30 p.m. and runs through Jan. 15. For more information visit The Wilbury Group.
