The Audubon Society of Rhode Island and its naturalist Kim Calcagno are scheduled to host an evening dedicated to celebrating the living light show that is the firefly on July 6, 2012 at 7 p.m.
Participants will learn how fireflies use their flickering lights to communicate and how to recognize fireflies during the day. Participants will also make a glowing firefly craft to take home and will end the evening by going out to the fields to watch for fireflies.
