Bomb Squad Baseball Company Grand Opening

It may be November, but baseball players in Johnston are sure to be looking for a place to do their off-season workouts.

The state's newest training facility, Bomb Squad Baseball Company, is scheduled to hold a grand opening on Nov. 6 from 1 to 5 p.m.

According to a press release, the staff is comprised entirely of former Division I players and coaches, and is headed by Steve Breitbach, a former long time top assistant and recruiter at the University of Rhode Island. Breitbach runs the facility along with Phil Davidson, the former standout pitcher at North Carolina State, RI Gatorade Player of the Year and two-time All-Stater at Toll Gate High. Davidson also runs the elite RI Rebels AAU program out of the Bomb Squad. In the last four years, more than 60 Rebels players have gone on to play at the college level.
