2nd Annual Benefit In Memory of Rosemary "Ro-Ro" DiPetrillo

The 2nd Annual Benefit in Memory of Rosemary "Ro-Ro" DiPetrillo is scheduled for Oct. 22 form 6 to 9 p.m. at in Johnston.

Johnston resident Lisa Taglione is coordinating the event to collect non-perishable food items and paper and hygeine products for the food pantry.

Ro-Ro, who passed away on Nov. 30, 2004, was a fixture in the community. Her sister, Judy Mirando, formerly owned several restaurants in the area, including Judith Helene's in North Scituate, Winston's in Johnston, Ducksoup in downtown Providence, and Judy's on Plainfield Street.

When Fr. John LaPointe at St. Robert Bellarmine Church suggested that parishioners make donations in Ro-Ro's honor following her passing, the idea of an annual event was born, Lisa explains.

Admission to the event is free; discounted bowling for the entire event, and Rock N Roll bowling from 7 to 9 p.m. provided by Town Hall Lanes.
