Whiz Kids: JHS Softball Seniors
This week, we recognize the fourth-year members of the Lady Panthers squad.
Names: Indy Cantone, Amanda Carnevale, Alaina DeNoncour, Megan Macera, Bryanna Peixoto, Bianca Rossi, and Victoria St. Angelo — seniors, Johnston High School.
Accomplishment: The crew of seniors was honored on May 21 before their 4-0 win over Pilgrim. The Lady Panthers have improved their record to 9-4, including seven straight wins, and are now eyeing a playoff berth.
Keys To Awesomeness: A never-die attitude, leadership and teamwork. The squad fought their way back to .500 with a tough 2-1 victory over Cranston East on May 2, then went on a seven-game win streak spurred by their offense and DeNoncour's steady presence on the mound.
