Accomplishment: Nominated to McDonald's All-American Team; final selection to be announced Feb. 10.
Key To Awesomeness: Hard work and positive attitude. Medeiros explains that he's been playing basketball for as long as he can remember, shooting baskets for hours anywhere he can find a hoop. Even when snow cancelled school (and practice for the Panther squad), Medeiros says he went to nearby Rainone Gym to keep up his practice regimen.

Medeiros also has a humble streak when it comes to his skills, which earned him the nomination to the McDonald's team.
"I just love to play — I never thought it would get me anywhere," he says. "Helping my team win — that's always been my mentality."
