Video: Four Years' Work in 30 Minutes

Johnston High School seniors completed the second of two days of portfolio reviews on May 2.

May 2 was a tense day for many seniors, as the school held a second day of portfolio presentations and reviews.

Each student had 30 minutes to explain their four years' worth of academic work to a three-member panel, then await the reviewers' decision on whether their portfolio met state and district standards.

Successful completion of the portfolio process is a key requirement for graduation in Rhode island, and as seen in the accompanying video, the students show that they understood the high stakes.
