Moms: Looking for a nice way to celebrate Mother's Day a bit early? The is hosting a special lunch starting at 11 am. Suggested donation is $3, which includes lunch, raffles, and prizes. Call ahead for reservations: (401) 944-3343.

Poll: We're down to the final couple of hours in this week's Readers' Choice poll on the best place for a "stay-cation." Cast you vote before the poll closes at 9 am, and watch for the results at noon.

Jummy: On this date last year, we profiled "Whiz Kid" Jummy Olagundoye, then a senior at Johnston High School, who'd just started Jam2Fit. [That's her photo attached to the article.] This year, Jummy is among the competitors in the Miss RI Scholarship Pageant, scheduled for May 26 at Rhode Island College.
