Johnston Woman Named 'Most Distinguished' in State

A senior at Johnston High School has been named the "Most Distinguished Woman" in Rhode Island.

A Johnston High School senior has been named the "Most Distinguished Woman" in the state, according to The Johnston Sunrise. 

Nisa Villareal, a student at Johnston High School and cheerleader, has been named the most Distinguished Young Woman for Rhode Island for 2013, which is part of a national competition. 

Villareal serves as president of the student council, on the float committee at the high school, a Big Brother Big Sister volunteer and in many other community and school roles.

The Johnston senior will compete in the national "Most Distinguished" competition in June after graduation.
