What Could Johnston Do With Landfill Money?

The town received about $43,000 in revenue from Rhode Island Resource Recovery last week — what do you think could be done with the money?

Last week at the Central Landfill, officials from presented checks to every city and town in the state as part of the company's profit-sharing program.

Each community received a share of about $1.9 million in profits from the sale of recyclables — in Johnston's case, about $43,000.

According to RIRRC, the money can only be spent on updating the recycling programs in each city and town.

But if there weren't such a restriction, what would you suggest as a use for the money?
