Promotion: On Monday, we posted a video of local police officer Joseph Salvadore's promotion to sergeant. Salvadore was the officer who stopped two robbery suspects at the Bread House in September.

Record Chasing: Senior Ryan Anderson went into Wednesday night's game against Mount St. Charles needing 23 points to reach the 1,000-point plateau for his career at Johnston High. He finished with 11, giving him the chance to reach the millenium mark on Tuesday night.

He Tried to Run — But Failed: A Providence man outran three Johnston Police officers on Feb. 3, only to be picked up by Providence Police the next day.
