'Tri-mary' for Council Ward 1 Among Races on Tuesday's Ballot

A town council seat will be decided in tomorrow's primary vote, as will the state Senate seat in Dist. 25.

 

Two contested races in Johnston will be settled by tomorrow's primary vote, including the Ward 1 Town Council seat currently held by Eileen Fuoco (D) and the state Senate Dist. 25 post held by Democratic incumbent Sen. Frank Lombardo.

Following the candidates' gathering of signatures in July, in the Ward 1 race, with Edward Cardillo Jr. and Paul Crowell III listed second and third, respectively.

After Democrat William J. Murphy failed to collect the required number of signatures, and no other candidates filed papers to run, , 19, to decide the race.

State House of Representatives Dist. 44 is also up for a primary vote between incumbent Rep. Peter Petrarca and challenger Gregory Costantino, both Democrats.

Following the , of Lincoln, from the House Dist. 44 race, tomorrow's primary vote will determine who faces Republican James Archer on Nov. 11.
