RIDOT Lists Traffic, Construction Schedule
The state Department of Transportation posts its weekly list of projects and traffic pattern changes scheduled through Friday, March 4.
Interstate 95:
Pawtucket: I-95 between Exits 27 (George St.) and 28 (School St.) posted for use only by vehicles of less than 18 tons. Detours required for heavier vehicles.
Warwick/West Warwick: I-95 NB & SB at Exit 8, lanes shifted to the left. Use caution entering and exiting.

R.I. Rte. 10:
Providence: Rte. 10 SB at the Union Ave. Bridge will be closed for beam placement on Sunday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. All traffic will use the Union Ave. exit and immediately return to the highway. Expect congestion; use I-95 to bypass the closure area.

RIPTA Bus # 18 offers free service during the bridge closure.
Local Roads:
Cranston: Rte. 2 (Reservoir Ave.) at the Rte. 10 interchange, expect alternating lane closures for bridge inspection, Thursday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Glocester: The Chestnut Hill Road Bridge is closed through late summer 2011 for rehabilitation. Follow signed detour using Rte. 44 (Putnam Pike) and Pine Orchard Rd.
Lincoln: The Wilbur Road Bridge over Route 146 is closed for rehabilitation through Summer 2011. Signed detours in place.
Providence: Rte. 6 West, from Hartford Avenue to Westminster St., right shoulder closed for sign replacement, Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pawtucket: Pleasant St. and Grace St./Division St., at the intersections with Marrin St. and Garden St., various lane closures possible for construction, Tuesday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Newport/Jamestown: Rte. 138 EB and WB on the Pell (Newport) Bridge, lane closures are possible for painting and steel repairs by the R.I. Turnpike & Bridge Authority, Monday- Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. At least one lane in each direction will remain open.
