RIDOT Lists Traffic, Construction Schedule

The state Department of Transportation posts its weekly list of projects and traffic pattern changes scheduled through Friday, April 8.

Morgan Avenue, Johnston: The Morgan Avenue bridge will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. starting April 6 and ending April 8.

Interstate 95:

Pawtucket: I-95 NB, from Exit 27 (Downtown) to Exit 28 (School St.), right lane closed for construction, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Pawtucket: I-95 NB at Exit 28 (School St.), exit closed for construction, Wednesday and Thursday from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

R.I. Rte. 10:

Providence: Rte. 10 SB at the Union Ave. Bridge will be closed for construction on Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. One lane will remain
open in each direction until 1 a.m. After that, all traffic will use the Union Ave. exit and immediately return to the highway. Expect congestion; use I-95 to bypass the closure area.

RIPTA Bus # 18 offers free service during the bridge closure.

Cranston: The on-ramp from Rte. 12 (Park Ave.) to Rte. 10 NB will be narrowed due to bridge inspection, Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

R.I. Rte. 6:

Providence/Cranston: The ramps to I-95 NB and SB from Rte. 6 EB will be closed for sign work Sunday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Detour in place. In the event of inclement weather, the work will take place Monday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Local Roads:

Lincoln: Rte. 99 NB, from Sayles Hill Road on-ramp to Rte. 146 overpass, right lane closed for sign work, Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
