Independent Drops from House Dist. 44 Race; Three Candidates Left

James D'Ambra has withdrawn from the race for the Rhode Island House seat currently held by Rep. Peter Petrarca (D).

 

The Independent candidate for Rhode Island House of Representatives Dist. 44 has withdrawn from the contest, according to the Secretary of State's website.

James D'Ambra, of Lincoln, had been one of three challengers who filed to run against incumbent Rep. Peter Petrarca, a Democrat — and running statewide for General Assembly seats.
