Local Small Business Forum

The North Central Chamber of Commerce, along with Governor Lincoln D. Chafee and other state officials, will hold a forum this morning for local small businesses to listen to their needs and discuss plans to get Rhode Island’s budget and economy back on track.

Guests include Governor Lincoln D. Chafee;  Keith Stokes, executive director, Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation; and Paul Dion, chief, Office of Revenue and Analysis, Rhode Island Department of Revenue.

Topics to be discussed include the Governor’s FY2012 budget proposals aimed at getting Rhode Island back on track as well as an overview of the state’s economic growth priorities.  The business community/taxpayers will also have an opportunity to express their needs and and the challenges they are facing.

This is a free event.  However, donations of non-perishable items for the Rhode Island Food Bank would be appreciated.
