Briarcliffe Tour Cancelled

The town's planning board is scheduled to hear the application for an expansion of the assisted living facility tomorrow night.

A planned tour of the Briarcliffe Manor assisted living facility on Old Pocasset Road, originally scheduled for 6 p.m. on August 1, has been cancelled.

During an interview prior to the cancellation, Town Planner Pam Sherrill described the visit as an "information gathering" session for town officials to see the site of the proposed work.

Susan Leonardi, clerk of the town's zoning board, attached the notice of the cancellation in a recent email to JohnstonPatch. A copy of the cancellation notice is attached to this article.

The planning board is scheduled to meet on August 2 at the to review the Briarcliffe proposal and discuss the zoning board's advisory opinion on the project.
