Taxes: This is probably the friendliest reminder you'll get: Today is the final day to file your 2011 federal taxes to be considered on-time. Collect your documents, write the check, and grit your teeth — but at least you won't pay a late fee.

TV: Tonight at 6:30 pm, Marian J. Mohr Library hosts Paul Darling for a discussion of his new book, "We Were Pioneers: Memories of Channel 12 Television and WPRO Radio," a retrospective of the Rhode Island native's experience in the early days of TV news.

Theft: On this date last year (it was a Sunday), we noted in our Week in Review that two women had been arrested in an apparent identify theft scam at the T-Mobile store on Atwood Avenue.
