5 Things, Mar. 22: Warmer, Library, Places, Roads, Recycling

The day's not complete without our 5 Things To Know Today for March 22, 2012.

Warmer: Yet another nice day on tap, sayeth the JohnstonPatch WeatherBig forecast — sunny with highs approaching 80. Clouds roll in later in the day, cooler Friday in the 70s and dropping into the 60s Saturday with a chance of rain.

Library: All sorts of cool (or, in the case of Classics Club, hot) activities are on deck at Marian J. Mohr Library, 1 Memorial Ave., today:

Places: Did you know that you can promote your Johnston business on our site for FREE? Step 1: Check our Places directory and see if your company is listed. Step 2: Claim your listing. Step 3: Drop an email to joseph.hutnak@patch.com to request a listing if you don't have one.

Roads: Time and money — two things you need to save. We've got a list of the cheapest gas nearby and info on traffic trouble spots on our Traffic & Gas page.

Recycling: It was on this date last year that we reported on state Sen. Frank Lombardo's proposal to allow Rhode Island Resource Recovery to accept out-of-state recycling. The result? Gov. Lincoln Chafee signed Lombardo's bill into law last July.
