As Palmisciano explained the incident, Protano reported, Ohler walked out of the house and toward Protano, saying "don't worry, don't worry, I'm leaving."

Protano wrote that he smelled the odor of alcohol on Ohler's breath, and when he tried to speak with her, Ohler "repeatedly shouted out loudly "I'm fine. I'm fine. THANK YOU, THANK YOU! and attempted to walk away from me several times."

As Protano and Ptlm. Derek Parascondolo tried to place Ohler in a nearby police cruiser, Ohler screamed and "continued her unruly behavior and shouted at me and Ptlm. Parascandolo [to] 'get the [expletive] away from me!" according to Protano's report.

On the way to the police department, Protano wrote, Ohler "continued her unruly behavior, screaming, swearing at me, and spit[ting] on the rear window of my cruiser."

Once at police headquarters, Sgt. Michael Babbit reported that he tried to process Ohler for arrest, but she "could not be photographed or processed due to her belligerent behavior."

Babbit reported that he witnessed Ohler "kicking the walls, yelling, and spitting on the floor, walls, and door handle."

Officers called Johnston Fire Department personnel to transport Ohler to Fatima Hospital for detoxification.

At the time of the incident, Ohler was serving probation sentences of one year each imposed in August, 2011, for two simple assault charges and one count of reckless driving brought by Providence Police, according to online court records.
