Three-Way Crash was Third DUI Charge for Chepachet Man

The man who caused a three-way crash on Hartford Avenue over the weekend has another DUI charge.

Court records show that Patrick Darigan of Chepachet had already been arrested twice for driving under the influence before a three-car crash on Sunday that caused minor injuries to two other drivers.

Darigan, who allegedly crossed the center line on Hartford Avenue around 12:39 a.m. and struck two cars coming from the opposite direction, will appear in court on May 15 to face the DUI charge.

In February of last year, Darigan pleaded no contest to driving under the influence and was sentenced to a one-year suspended sentence, one year of probation, his license was suspended for three months and he was ordered to complete DWI school and 10 hours of community service.
