State Police Log: Pot Possession, Lacking Support

A collection of various Johnston-related arrests and Grand Jury reports. The following information does not indicate a conviction.

 

Lincoln Woods Barracks 

  • On Feb. 14 at 12:40 a.m., Troopers arrested Nancy Aquino, 25, of 4 Cleveland St., Johnston, on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear on the initial charge of driving with suspended license originating from the Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Prairie Street in Providence. Aquino was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed, arraigned before a justice of the peace and released after posting cash bail.
  • At 10:10 p.m. on Feb. 24, Troopers arrested Arthur Peters, 32, of 20 Park St., Johnston, on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of possession of marijuana. The arrest was the result of troopers checking a road walker on Chalkstone Avenue in Providence. Peters was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to the ACI Intake Center.

  • At 12:40 p.m. on March 2, troopers arrested Edward E. Smith, 33, of 809 Greenville Ave., Johnston, on a Family Court warrant for non-support. Smith was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.
